I started this (what began as 12 but is ending at 8) part Unsung Black History Makers series to do in writing what historian, Dr. Kiesha Blain said in the quote above.

…to reflect on the historical contributions of Black people in this country.

Over the last few weeks, I have enjoyed researching and writing about phenomenal Black women and men whose contributions are significant but not so well known.

After first addressing the question in Part 1 about whether or not Black History Month should be celebrated.
